My orchid.

Before the Easter my acquaintance wanted to throw out an orchid, so I took it from him. The plant was in a very bad condition. The plant literally swam in water, its leafs were soft and flat. I knew only a little bit about orchids, but at least I knew that they shouldn't be watered to much. I found the needed information on the Internet. My first step was to completely dry ground in the flowerpot, I didn't water it for a month and its leafs become hard. All my care was limited to drying and opportunely watering the plant. I don't remember exactly when, but probably in July young plant began to rise on the flower sprout. Then a month after another one rose on the second sprout. I read that plants that propagate in this way don't blossom in the first year. However my plant is an exception, the older of the new plants has a beautiful flower.

Visitor.

One day I opened door for patio, to let in my cats home and in front of the door I found a surprise, a small kitten. This small kitten is the main character from the blog “small kitten”. I took him on my hands and I stroked his soft fur. I took my cats home and I left the small kitten out side. He called by the front door to let him in.
Sometimes he comes to our patio and he wants to make friends with my cats. Rufus and Minio are not aggressive towards him, they snort and hiss at him, but they don't attack him. Rufus is afraid of strange cats, he feign pancake and growl. Minio solely snorts but he shows interest in the small kitten. Our small visitor loves all world and all people. I wonder if he will manage to make friends with my cats.

One day he came and walked nearby the front door, but didn't want to came in.
Two days later Minio sat on the chest of drawers and watched world through the window, he began to quietly cheep and he looked at me and through the window, he clearly wanted to show me something. I looked through the window, I saw that small kitten sitting on the table in the patio and he was looking at our window. Minio asked me to let him out. We went down and I let Minio out. He ran outside (even though it was raining) and stayed in front of the table and he cheeped to our visitor, the small kitten meowed in answer. A moment later I opened the door to patio and I noticed that this time Minio was sitting on the table and the visitor was sitting in front. My cat jumped down and ran back home, the small kitten meowed and stayed out side on the rain.

Hedgehog.

When my sister was a teenager, she lived with our grandmother. My grandmother lived outside of
the town in an almost hundred years old wooden house. One autumn a hedgehog came in to the house. My sisters took him to her room. The hedgehog lived with her all winter. My sister fed him and gave milk to drink, every morning bowls were empty. Hedgehog slept all days and by nights he went out of his hiding place, that was somewhere under her bed. When walking he pattered loudly with his little paws and puffed like a locomotive. He caught all mice which lived or wanted to live in the room of my sister. At spring my sister let out him out side.

On illustrations of Polish tales for children, hedgehogs are shown with apples on their spines. People who look at these illustrations think that hedgehogs eat apples and other plants. However Hedgehogs eat insects, earthworms and small rodents, they eat fallobst too.
